Boys Basketball Practice – Thursday, Jan 3
Eleven of our twelve players were available for practice today plus we had access to the entire gym. Unfortunately this ended up just an “OK” practice. The entire team seemed to be a step slow and the focus was inconsistant. This is normal for any team after a long layoff. We will be back in sync by next week when we have two games scheduled but that may not help us tommorow at United Faith. The tendacy is for teams to play how they practice. Coach Scott discussed this with the players at the end of practice today and I believe each player will respond and play “with all his heart” on Friday. We are better prepared for this game even with the long layoff.
The team huddle centered around individual goals for 2008. Each player or coach has something they hope to accomplish. For example; Daniel Zangmeister’s parents may not know that Daniel hopes to start a band in 2008. By sharing this at the team huddle we discovered that the entire band could be formed by players on the team including the lead singer. “The Arborbrook Basketball Team Band” – I believe Daniel said that all the practices could be held at his house.
Game time is 5:00 tomorrow at United Faith – I could use some help keeping stats (counting rebounds, steals, assists, and turn overs). See you at the game.
